FANUC M-710ic/20L Overview
The FANUC M-710IC/20L robot is designed for robotic dispensing, automated pick and place and robotic welding applications. This robot is the long arm version of the popular FANUC M-710ic/50. The M710ic/20L is a six axis robot with a very long reach. The FANUC M 710ic/20L is available in the FANUC RJ3IC, FANUC R30IA, and FANUC R-30iB controllers. While the M710ic 20L industrial robot only has a payload of 44 lbs, it has a reach of over 10 feet. The FANUC M710ic 20L is particularly effective in long reach welding automation. This FANUC welding robot can be integrated with a Lincoln Powerwave i400 to perform robotic MIG welding. The FANUC M-710ic 20L is commonly used for welding large workpieces such as trailers or building materials. This robot can also be integrated to a servo driven track to further expand the work envelope.Most versions of this used FANUC robot carry an IP rating of 67, allowing it to handle harsh environments. This robot can also be integrated with a gripper to handle robotic assembly and automated packaging. This FANUC robot is similar in reach and payload to the ABB 4600-20 and the Motoman MH50-20. For welding automation that does not require the long reach of this articulated robot, the FANUC Arcmate 120ic is a smaller option.
