FANUC Arcmate 100iB Overview
The FANUC ArcMate 100ib robot is designed for welding automation, robotic plasma cutting, and automated plasma welding applications. The 100ib is part of the FANUC ArcMate Series robots. This industrial robot is used in many robotic welding scenarios due to its flexibility and reliability. The Arcmate 100ib is a more compact robot allowing for a smaller work envelope than the ArcMate 120ib. This FANUC welding robot is the predecessor to the popular FANUC Arcmate 100ic. For those applications requiring a longer reach, the Arcmate 120ic or FANUC M710ic/20L might be more suitable. This robot has the same mechanical build as the FANUC M6ib allowing it to complete robotic assembly applications. The FANUC Arc Mate 100ib is a six axis robot with servo driven motors. This articulated robot features a payload of 6 KG and a reach of 1373 MM. With a relatively low price, the FANUC 100ib is a good choice for low cost robotic workcells that do not require a long reach. The mechanical unit part number for this articulated robot is A05B-1215-B601. The controller for the R-J3IB version of this six axis robot has a part number of A05B-2460-B150. The FANUC Arc mate 100ib is available in the FANUC R-J3IB, FANUC R-J3IC and FANUC R-30ia controllers. When used in automated mig welding applications, this robot is typically integrated with the Lincoln Powerwave 455M. Welding robots like this are capable of being integrated with a TIG welding supply and used as an automatic TIG welding machine. Purchasing a FANUC robot such as the Arcmate 100ib can significantly increase productivity at a relatively low cost.
