FANUC Arcmate 120iC 12L Overview
The FANUC ArcMate 120iC/12L industrial robot is a long reach robot designed for robotic arc welding. The FANUC 120iC 12L has the same 2009 MM reach as its predecessor the FANUC Arc Mate 120ic/10L, giving it maximum flexibility in robotic welding applications. The ArcMate 120iC 12L has an increased payload of 12 KG, allowing for less usage using the same welding torch, increasing longevity of the robot. The FANUC Arc mate 120iC-12L is available in the FANUC R30ib controller, with either the A-cabinet or B-cabinet styles. The 120iC/12L features a hollow wrist allowing for internal cables, creating greater flexibility, durability and motion range. The increased payload and motion speed allowing the FANUC Arcmate 120ic 12L robot to reduce cycle times and increase productivity over older used FANUC robots.This six axis robot is similar in reach and payload capacity to the Motoman MA1900, ABB 4600-20 and the KUKA KR30-L16. Robotic applications that do not require this extended reach robot can use the standard FANUC Arcmate 120ic. For welding automation that requires automating a large work envelope, the FANUC M-710ic/20L would be a good choice. Additional applications for this used FANUC welding robot include automated plasma cutting and robotic laser welding.
