FANUC Arc Mate 120iD/35 Overview
The FANUC ArcMate 120iD/35 is used for automating arc welding applications. This 6-axis welding robot features a reach of 1,831 mm and a payload capacity of 35 kg. Its higher load capacity give the ArcMate 120iD-35 greater versatility for welding equipment. The ArcMate 120-iD-35 is designed with a slim and curved J2 arm. The design of its arm prevents interference during operation and allows for welding automation in confined spaces. The reach and configuration of the ArcMate 120iD35’s arm makes it ideal for robotic welding in hard to reach spaces as well.
The wrist of the FANUC ArcMate 120/iD.35 is hollow with a large diameter of 57 mm. This allows for easy cable routing that is free from snags. The wrist axis also features IP67 rated protection against dust and moisture. For those with welding applications in dirty work environments, the FANUC ArcMate 120/iD/35 is ideal for automating. The ArcMate 120iD.35 is configured with a fully integrated welding hose pack and cable system for a more streamlined design. This helps prevent cable interference during operation and extends cable life. The closest predecessor to this FANUC robot is the FANUC Arcmate 120ic. Applications requiring a longer reach should use the FANUC M-710ic/20L.
This articulated robot can also be used in automated laser welding, robotic plasma cutting, and waterjet cutting automation. The FANUC ArcMate 120/iD-35 pairs with FANUC’s R-30iB Plus controller. With the R-30iB Plus controller programming is simplified with a user-friendly interface and setup guides. This FANUC welding robot is similar in reach and payload to the ABB IRB 2600-20, Motoman HP20D, and the KUKA Kr 30-3.
