All three used Motoman robots have the same payload, repeatability, and robot mass. The UP6 and HP6 have a vertical joint arm structure while the MH6 has an articulated structure. The Motoman MH6 DX100 is superior to both older models in reach, motion range, and motion speed. All three used Motoman can be used for robotic welding, arc welding, pick and place, assembly, and material handling applications. The Motoman MH6 utilizies the advanced Yaskawa DX100 controller, while the HP6 and UP6 use the Motoman NX100 and Motoman XRC/XRC2001 controllers respectively. The major difference between the used Yaskawa robots is not going to be in the specifications, but rather in the price and availability on the used robot market. While a used Motoman MH6 DX100 can be found on the market, locating a used Motoman UP6 or used Motoman HP6 is going to be much easier. Generally the used UP6 can be purchased at a very economical price, even in refurbished condition. A used HP6 NX100 is typically going to cost more than the used UP6 XRC 2001, however, it will still provide a newer robot at an affodable price. The used MH6 DX100 is going to be the most difficult to locate and likely the highest priced of the 3 Motoman industrial robots, however, it should provide the most productivity due to lower hours and better technology.
