ABB IRB 1600

ABB IRB 1600

ABB IRB 1600 Overview

The high speed ABB IRB 1600 industrial robot is a lower payload model that is used in arc welding, dispensing, and assembly applications. This used industrial robot can be mounted to the floor, pedastal, wall, or inverted for optimal efficiency. This ABB material handling robot has a reach between 1.2 and 1.45 meters depending on the robot version. The IRB 1600 uses the innovative ABB IRC5 controller. Models with the M2004 or ICR5 controller can be found in the IRC5 Single cabinet, ICR5 Compact cabinet, or IRC5 Dual cabinet. This ABB 1600 is similar in payload and reach to the FANUC M10ia, Yaskawa Motoman MH6, and KUKA KR 6-2. Additional applications in which this ABB IRB robot can perform include pick and place, laser welding, and plasma welding. Utilizing used ABB robots like the ABB IRB 1600 M2004 in material removal applications will lower overhead and keep investment costs down.
