ABB IRB 2400L

ABB IRB 2400L

ABB IRB 2400L Overview

The ABB IRB 2400L is a longer reach industrial robot that is used in many robotic welding cells. This ABB robot is used in robotic arc welding, automated plasma welding, and laser welding automation. This used articulated robot can be mounted to the floor, wall, shelf, or inverted. Depending on when it was produced, this ABB material handling robot has a payload capacity of either 5 or 7 kilograms. The IRB 2400L uses various ABB robot controllers including the most current ABB IRC5 controller. Models with the M2004 or ICR5 controller can be found in both the IRC5 single cabinet and IRC5 dual cabinet. This used ABB robot can control up to 3 additional axes providing flexibility in integration. This ABB robot is similar in payload and reach to the FANUC M10ia/7L, Yaskawa Motoman EA1900N, and KUKA KR 6-2. Additional applications in which this ABB IRB robot can perform include robotic pick and place, GMAW welding, and automated plasma cutting. Utilizing used ABB robots like the ABB IRB 2400L M2004 in automated MIG welding applications will increase accuracy.
