FANUC Arcmate 100id-16S Overview
The FANUC ArcMate 100iD/16S is the short arm variant of the FANUC ArcMate 100iD series. With a reach of 1,103 mm and a slim profile, the ArcMate 100iD-16S is ideal for compact work spaces. The small footprint of the ArcMate 100iD/16/S allows it to be integrated easily into robotic weld cells or mounted overhead. Despite having a compact design, the FANUC 100iD/16S takes full advantage of its work envelope and will increase throughput. With a maximum payload capacity of 16 kg, the ArcMate 100iD16S offers the highest payload of the ArcMate 100iD robots. Even with a higher payload, the ArcMate 100iD16/S has minimum vibration when operating for precision welding automation. This six axis robot is one of the highest in its class for precision and axis speed. This FANUC welding robot is optimal for robotic arc welding and plasma cutting automation that requires heavier end effectors and a small footprint.
Integration efforts are kept to a minimum with the hollow wrist, arm, and body of the FANUC ArcMate 100/iD/16S. The hose pack, sensor cables, and air pipes are internally routed together through the articulated robot. This eliminates exterior cabling, preventing interference and optimizing maintenance as well as cable life. Maintenance is made easier with the FANUC Zero Downtime function which predicts mechanical and equipment status. This provides an intelligent maintenance schedule to keep the ArcMate 100/iD/16-S in top condition. Applications that require a longer reach should use the Arcmate 120ic. This robot is similar in reach and payload to the ABB 2600-12, Motoman MH12 and the KUKA Kr 16.
