Yaskawa Motoman MPL160

Yaskawa Motoman MPL160 Overview

The Yaskawa Motoman MPL160 is part of Yaskawa’s “Master Palletizing” robot series. The MPL/160 is designed to optimize robotic palletizing applications with its four-axis configuration. Featuring a vertical reach of 3,024 mm and a payload capacity of 160 kg, it is ideal for palletizing a number of items including boxes, bags, and cases. Productivity is maximized with the Yaskawa Motoman MPL-160 with its ability to service multiple infeed conveyors and up to four pallet build locations. In addition, the fast axial speeds and acceleration of the MPL.160 will reduce cycle times allowing for even higher productivity rates. This articulated robot is the successor to the Motoman EPL160.

Breakdowns and maintenance are reduced with the Yaskawa Motoman MPL 160 with its internalized cables and air lines. This prevents cable interference from occurring during operation and cable wear. Users of the mpl160 will have peace of mind with its high reliability. This Motoman palletizing also features a hollow wrist to further extend cable life as well as provide a wide range of wrist motion. This industrial robot is similar in payload and reach to the FANUC M-410ib/160.

The Yaskawa Motoman Mpl160 is paired with the either the DX100 or DX200 controller, which allows for up to eight robots to be controlled at once. The DX100 controller provides user-friendly programming with fast processing speeds. Optional off-line programming software is available with the Mpl-160 to further simplify the programming process.
