Yaskawa Motoman EPL160 Overview
The Motoman EPL 160 is part of Yaskawa Motoman’s “Expert Palletizing” robot series. The four-axis configuration of the EPL-160 is designed specifically for palletizing applications. This robot has a payload capacity of up to 160 kilograms, a vertical reach of 3,012 millimeters, and a horizontal reach of 3,159 millimeters. It is capable of servicing multiple infeed conveyors or pallet stations.
The Yaskawa EPL/160 is capable of running up to 1,200 cycles per hour for extremely high handling capacities and productivity. In addition to increased palletizing capacity, this robot features fast operation speeds, lowering cycle times and increasing efficiency. The epl 160 further proves to be a master palletizer with its enhanced range of motion. This robot offers the largest palletizing range of its class with a perfectly proportioned upper and lower robot arm.
Increased inertia for the wrist axis of the Yaskawa Motoman epl/160 is achieved through a higher capacity motor and speed reducer. This allows for the palletizing of larger workpieces. Air and I/O signal lines are internally routed, preventing cable interference. This design also gives users more flexibility with their system layout. This robot is similar in payload and reach to the FANUC M-410ib/160.
The epl-160 is paired with Yaskawa’s NX100 controller. The NX100 controller provides easy programming, path accuracy, and vibration control.
