Yaskawa Motoman MPL800 Overview

The Yaskawa Motoman MPL800 DX100 is designed specifically for heavy lifting palletizing applications. With a payload capacity of 800 kg, the MPL/800 is the strongest robot in Yaskawa Motoman’s “Master Palletizing” series. Featuring a vertical reach of 3,024 mm and a horizontal reach of 3,159 mm, this robot is capable of palletizing large, trailer height workloads. Its four-axis configuration makes it ideal for optimizing any robotic palletizing process. Fast axial speeds and high acceleration allow for reduced cycle times. Productivity can be increased with the Yaskawa Motoman MPL.800 with its ability to service multiple infeed conveyors and up to four pallet build sites.

Operation reliability is improved by eliminating cable interference with internalized cable routing. Both air lines and cables are housed inside this articulated robot to prevent disruption. This configuration helps to extend cable life by cutting down on wear and tear. In addition, maintenance requirements are kept to a minimum. The hollow wrist of the mpl800 houses EOAT wiring and also allows for a wider range of wrist motion. This industrial robot is similar in payload and reach to the FANUC M-410ib/700.

The MPL-800 is paired with either the Motoman DX100 or DX200 controllers. The DX100 controller provides a user-friendly interface with fast processing speeds to simplify application programming. Operations are streamlined with the DX100 as one controller can operate up to 8 Mpl800 robots.
