Yaskawa Motoman EPL500 Overview

The Yaskawa Motoman EPL500 is a four-axis robot designed to optimize heavy lifting palletizing applications. Its payload capacity of 500 kg makes this robot the strongest in the EPL robot series. The EPL/500 features a vertical reach of 3,024 mm and a horizontal reach of 3,160 mm. It offers a wide 360-degree work envelope for the most efficient operation. This large work envelope allows the EPL 500 to service multiple pallet loading stations. Automating palletizing tasks with this robot will increase productivity rates and reduce cycle times.

The through-arm cable routing configuration of the Yaskawa Motoman EPL.500 maximizes its performance while also extending cable life and reducing maintenance requirements. Air lines and I/O lines are housed inside the industrial robot to prevent operation disruptions due to cable interference for optimal reliability. The EPL-500 is one of the most reliable articulated robots available for use in automated pick and place and robotic material handling.

Programming palletizing applications with the epl500 can be simplified with PC-based off-line software that is available as an option. The Epl-500 is paired with Yaskawa Motoman’s NX100 controller. The NX100 controller features multiple robot control technology, path accuracy, and vibration control.
